Nigeria’s Flying Eagles Beat Mali

The flying Eagles of Nigeria qualified for the final of the All African games football tournament by beating their Malian counterparts 5-4 on penalties.

Nigeria’s flying Eagles had lost in the semi final of the last African Under 20 tournament to the same Malian counterpart also by penalties.

The game ended goalless after 120 minutes of football. The Flying Eagles of Nigeria dominate play for most part of the game but poor finishing in front of goal made the game to drag to extra time and penalty shoot out.

The Paul Aigbogun side also had a penalty missed during the first half of the game by the captain of the team, Abubakar Ibrahim.

The team will now meet the winner of the semi final game between Senegal and Burkina Fasso in the final of the All African Games football tournament on Friday.
